It was a very sad day when we said goodbye to Murray Gillam at the Guildford Crematorium.

The day was attended by Murrays family and friends, and as a mark of respect and to reflect one of Murrays passions 28 scooters were also in attendance.

Murray was one of the founder members of the 60’s Scooter Club that was formed in 2013. Murray would often attend events the club was involved in, be it in Brighton, Hayling Island and the Isle of Wight, Murray was always very keen to get on his scooter and ride whenever he could, sometimes even when nobody else would. Murray was always looking at ways in which he could customise his scooter, either with an engine upgrade or the addition of some spangly Chrome side panels and a very large 60’s Scooter Club flag on his scooter aerial.

Murray was always very involved getting things for the club, club badges, stickers and even Legshield Banners, always chasing somebody for a deal. Last year following the Boxhill Run we had a club BBQ, both Murray and Debbie were very involved in getting everything together for what was a great afternoon

Murray will be sadly missed by all, he was a big character with a big heart always happy to help wherever he could.

RIP Murray, gone but not forgotten
